Protecht has announced the upcoming release of Cognita, an AI assistant specifically designed for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), announced in a press release. Cognita will be integrated into the Protecht ERM platform and is set to be available in November 2025. Early demonstrations are being offered at the Gartner Enterprise Risk, Audit, and Compliance Conference.

Cognita is tailored to enhance decision-making within GRC workflows by providing explainable outputs and built-in governance guardrails. It is designed to guide users with contextual prompts and step-by-step support, aiming to reduce manual administration, improve data quality, and accelerate reporting processes. The AI assistant also emphasizes transparency and accountability, ensuring that all outputs are auditable and trusted by regulators.

The AI tool is scalable and integrates seamlessly within the Protecht ERM system, featuring role-based permissions and oversight. This design allows every employee to act as a risk manager, reinforcing accountability and turning risk data into a strategic advantage.
