Planet Green's AI Initiative Targets Youth Mental Health in Canada

Planet Green Holdings Corp. has announced a new initiative to address youth mental health issues in Canada using AI technology. Announced in a press release, the company's subsidiary, Fast Approach Inc., is developing AI-driven conversational agents aimed at early-stage intervention for anxiety and depression among adolescents.

The initiative comes in response to a growing mental health crisis among Canadian teenagers, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Fast Approach's AI systems are designed to engage in empathetic and supportive conversations, particularly for those in the early stages of mental distress who are not yet receiving formal therapy. These systems are developed in collaboration with licensed mental health professionals to ensure clinical responsibility and ethical integrity.

Key features of the project include empathetic AI dialogue systems, clinically informed interventions, and youth-focused support. The AI models are co-designed with input from therapists and guided by evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Ethical safeguards, including escalation protocols and privacy protections, are also integrated to prevent misuse.

Fast Approach is currently collaborating with Canadian healthcare partners, school boards, and nonprofit organizations to pilot the solution in select provinces later this year.
