Ping An Appoints Ray Wang as CTO to Boost AI Integration
Ping An Insurance has appointed Ray Wang as the new Chief Technology Officer, a move aimed at accelerating the company's digital transformation efforts. Announced in a press release, Wang will also serve as the General Manager of Ping An Technology, focusing on enhancing the company's research and development capabilities in artificial intelligence.
Ray Wang brings nearly two decades of experience in the finance and technology sectors, having held senior roles at companies like Google, Bloomberg, Baidu, and Ant Group. His expertise in AI and digital finance is expected to drive the integration of Ping An's self-developed large language models and open-source big data platforms.
This strategic appointment is part of Ping An's broader initiative to establish five key digital systems: digital business, operations, management, marketing, and services. The company aims to strengthen its "integrated finance + health and senior care" strategy, leveraging technology to improve its financial services and expand its ecosystem.
