Phonic Unveils Speech-to-Speech Platform with $4M Funding

Phonic has launched an end-to-end speech-to-speech platform for voice agents, backed by a $4 million funding round led by Lux Capital.

Phonic has launched its end-to-end speech-to-speech platform designed to create lifelike and reliable conversational voice agents, announced in a press release. The company has also secured $4 million in funding from investors including Lux Capital and AI leaders such as the founders of Replit, Hugging Face, Applied Intuition, and Modal.

The platform aims to address the reliability issues that have hindered the adoption of voice AI by offering a unified system that integrates voice generation, recognition, and interaction. This approach eliminates the need for managing multiple tools and provides a seamless speech-to-speech experience with a latency of just 300 milliseconds.

Phonic's intelligent decision system moves away from traditional decision trees, allowing for dynamic adaptation to unique customer interactions. This innovation is already being utilized in sectors like healthcare and insurance for tasks such as appointment scheduling and claims processing. The platform can be deployed via cloud API or on-premises, catering to organizations with stringent security requirements.
