Aravind Srinivas, CEO of Perplexity AI, announced that the company’s revenue has grown fivefold to $500 million while its team expanded by only 34%. He shared the update on X, noting that the company remains a startup and expects to double revenue again in 2026 with a similarly small team.

The growth follows Perplexity’s recent pivot to its new platform, Perplexity Computer, introduced in February. The unified system integrates files, tools, memory, and multiple AI models, each handling a specific function such as reasoning, coding, or writing. The company stated that 19 specialized models currently operate within the system.

Srinivas described the shift to Perplexity Computer as a return to the company’s origins, when it was initially built as an internal tool for small businesses. Founded in 2022, Perplexity has grown rapidly, reaching a valuation of $20 billion by late 2025.
