Kasm and Intel Expand Private AI Workspaces for Xeon 6
Kasm Technologies has expanded its partnership with Intel Corporation to deliver private local AI through Kasm AI Workspaces on Intel Xeon 6 processors with Advanced Matrix Extensions, the company announced in a press release.
The setup combines Kasm's containerized workspace platform with the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit. Kasm said the system runs local large language model inference inside each user's temporary workspace container, without requiring a GPU or sending data outside the enterprise network.
The platform supports chat, retrieval augmented generation, tool calls, code assistance, document generation, and autonomous coding agents. Kasm said it can also manage AI workspaces across Intel CPUs with AMX, integrated NPUs, and discrete GPUs.
For workloads that need GPU acceleration, Kasm 1.19 supports SR-IOV bifurcation of Intel Arc Pro cards. This lets one physical GPU serve multiple isolated workspaces as virtual functions.
