OpenAI Rolls Out GPT-6 and Intelligent UI in ChatGPT
OpenAI announced on its website that GPT-6 and a new Intelligent UI are rolling out in ChatGPT. The interface lets the model combine text with charts, forms, maps, buttons, diagrams and interactive tools based on the user's request.
GPT-6 can progressively build responses while it continues reasoning. For searches on the web, GPT-6 Instant began answering 44% sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant in production traffic. A library of native components and a compiler allow interface elements to appear as the model generates them.
The rollout began globally on October 8 for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users, followed by Free and Go users on October 9. Paid tiers use GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go tiers use GPT-6 Luna. The update applies to the Chat tab, while the models used by ChatGPT Work and Codex remain unchanged.
