NVIDIA Invests $2 Billion in CoreWeave to Expand AI Data Center Capacity
NVIDIA has invested $2 billion in CoreWeave, expanding their partnership to accelerate the development of AI data centers, reports Reuters. The investment, made at $87.20 per share, nearly doubles NVIDIA’s stake in CoreWeave, making it the company’s second-largest shareholder.
The funding will help CoreWeave advance its goal of building more than 5 gigawatts of AI data center capacity by 2030. CoreWeave plans to use the capital to secure land and power resources required for these facilities.
As part of the collaboration, CoreWeave will integrate NVIDIA’s latest products across its infrastructure, including the upcoming Rubin chip architecture, Bluefield storage systems, and the new Vera CPU line. The companies also plan to jointly build data centers optimized for running NVIDIA’s AI technologies.
CoreWeave’s shares rose nearly 10% following the announcement, reflecting investor confidence in the strengthened partnership.
