Nota Signs Deal for AI Transportation System in Dubai

Korean startup Nota has signed a contract with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority to supply a generative AI-powered intelligent transportation system, marking its first commercialization of such technology in the Middle East.

Nota has signed a contract with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to supply a generative AI-powered intelligent transportation system (ITS). This agreement makes Nota the first Korean company to commercialize an on-device generative AI solution in the Middle East. The announcement was made on April 23.

The ITS system is based on Nota's proprietary video monitoring solution, the Nota Vision Agent (NVA), which utilizes a vision-language model. It operates on both centralized and edge devices from NVIDIA, allowing for real-time video data analysis to quickly detect road accidents or unexpected events, facilitating immediate response.

Dubai's RTA was reportedly impressed by the system's rapid data processing capabilities, minimal reliance on cloud servers, cost efficiency, and strong security features. Nota's CEO, Chae Myung-su, highlighted the significance of this contract as a demonstration of the company's global technological competitiveness.
