NewMod Fearn has launched an AI native law firm focused on patent prosecution for startups after raising $5.5 million.
NewMod Fearn has launched an AI native law firm focused on patent prosecution for startups after raising $5.5 million, according to Artificial Lawyer. Investors include Kindred Ventures, a16z Speedrun, and others.
The firm combines patent attorneys and technical experts with proprietary models for drafting and prosecuting patents. It covers software, hardware, robotics, semiconductors, defense, biotech, and pharmaceuticals, with fixed fees and provisional filings available in as little as three business days.
NewMod Fearn says its system can turn an explanation of an invention into a patent application ready for review within hours. Its software represents patents as graphs connecting claims with supporting text, figures, and technical material while retaining attorney edits and production history.
