NASA Selects Astrolab CLV-1 Lunar Rover with Odyssey Space Research Support
In a press release, Astrolab announced that NASA selected its CLV-1 lunar rover to support astronaut exploration of the Moon as part of the Artemis campaign under the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services program.
The CLV-1 rover will mark the first phase of surface exploration and serve as a foundation for future Astrolab vehicles, including the planned FLEX rover. The rover will be positioned on the lunar surface in advance of the Artemis crew's arrival.
Odyssey Space Research will provide flight software development, systems engineering, integration, safety analysis, simulation, operations, and training support for CLV-1. The company will use its ENCORE flight software framework and STAGE development and test ecosystem to support the program.
Astrolab’s partners on the project include Venturi, Axiom, and Interlune. Odyssey Space Research stated it is continuing its long-standing collaboration with NASA by contributing to efforts that enable sustained lunar surface operations.
