Morae launches legal intelligence platform with AI spend module

Sep 30, 2026
Morae has introduced a platform that connects legal billing and matter data, with its first module combining AI analysis and expert review to manage outside counsel spending.

Morae launched a Legal Intelligence Platform on September 29, starting with its MorAI Spend Intelligence module, according to Legal IT Insider. The platform connects enterprise legal management, matter management, and law firm billing data without replacing existing systems.

MorAI Spend Intelligence combines AI trained on billing data with review by legal experts. It helps corporate legal departments assess invoices, rate increases, budgets, and future spending decisions using data from multiple systems.

Morae said an early deployment at a global insurer increased outside counsel cost savings from 8.5% to 18% and removed 14,000 hours of manual invoice review. The company is targeting Fortune 1000 and FTSE 350 legal departments that spend more than $10 million annually on outside counsel.

It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
