MICROIP and Poland Partner to Build Edge AI and ASIC Supply Chain
At the 2026 European Economic Congress in Katowice, MICROIP announced in a press release its plan to collaborate with Poland to establish a resilient Edge AI and ASIC supply chain. Chairman Dr. James Yang introduced the company's "Software Driven Hardware" strategy during the Poland-Taiwan Economic Cooperation Forum.
Dr. Yang explained that MICROIP aims to address the last phase of AI deployment, which is often limited by fragmented user needs and the high cost of general-purpose chips. The approach focuses on translating domain expertise into specialized silicon using MICROIP's low power Customized ASIC Design Services (CATS) and its AIVO no code platform. These tools allow engineers to create tailored AI applications using mainstream chip platforms.
The company highlighted successful applications of this model in autonomous UAV navigation and smart city projects, where on-device processing enhances privacy and reduces bandwidth use. Dr. Yang described the collaboration between Taiwan's semiconductor capabilities and Poland's software talent as key to creating a strong industrial ecosystem for AI hardware and software innovation.
MICROIP is also working with its sister company Arculus System to deliver electronic design automation services. This partnership aims to shorten the ASIC research to production cycle and provide European clients with cost effective, localized solutions.
