MGI Tech Partners with Eva Holding Group to Expand Genomic Access in Brazil
MGI Tech Co., Ltd. has entered into a strategic partnership with Eva Holding Group to expand access to genomic technologies and improve disease monitoring in Brazil, announced in a press release. The collaboration focuses on enhancing the accuracy of cancer tracking and supporting the development of the country's genetic sector.
The agreement includes the installation of MGI's DNBSEQ-T7 sequencer, the first system with In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) certification sold in Latin America. It is also the only high-throughput IVDI-certified equipment in Brazil, allowing clinical use of this technology alongside research applications.
The DNBSEQ-T7 system offers high processing capacity and flexibility for whole-genome, exome, and transcriptome sequencing. Its DNBSEQ technology produces high-quality data at reduced cost, supporting more precise variant detection and comprehensive genome assembly.
Eva Holding Group plans to centralize its genomic operations within a new technology park to increase efficiency and scalability. The partnership aims to benefit areas such as oncology, rare disease diagnosis, and neonatal screening through faster and more accurate genomic analysis.
