Kyndryl and the University of Liverpool will collaborate to develop AI-based healthcare technologies, announced in a press release. The initiative combines Kyndryl’s AI Innovation Lab and Agentic AI Framework with the university’s Civic Health Innovation Labs and AI for Life Frontier program.

In the first phase, the partnership will focus on conceptual AI projects aimed at improving patient interaction and care delivery. These include conversational AI services that help patients record symptoms, manage medication use, and better access healthcare and social services.

The collaboration will also build a shared library of innovation-ready AI models, drawing on population health datasets and testbed environments such as Data-into-Action and the Civic Data Cooperative. Kyndryl’s Liverpool-based AI Innovation Lab, launched in May 2025, will play a central role in the work, supporting the city’s Life Sciences Innovation Zone and contributing to the region’s health and life sciences ecosystem.
