Keeper Security Report Highlights AI-Related Cyber Incidents in Schools
Keeper Security has released a new research report titled 'AI in Schools: Balancing Adoption with Risk,' which reveals significant cybersecurity challenges as AI becomes more integrated into educational settings. According to the report, 41% of schools have experienced AI-related cyber incidents, such as phishing campaigns and harmful student-generated content, announced in a press release.
The study surveyed over 1,400 education leaders in the UK and US, highlighting that while AI tools are widely used by both students and faculty, formal policies to manage associated risks are still underdeveloped. Notably, 90% of education leaders expressed concern about AI-related cybersecurity threats, yet only 25% felt very confident in recognizing AI-enabled threats like deepfakes.
Keeper Security emphasizes the need for a zero-trust, zero-knowledge approach to safeguard sensitive information and maintain trust in digital learning environments. The company offers solutions designed to meet the stringent requirements of the education sector, integrating enterprise password management and AI-driven threat detection.
