Inven Secures $12.8 Million to Expand AI Deal Sourcing Platform
Inven, a Finnish startup specializing in AI-native deal sourcing, has raised $12.8 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Ventech and Vendep Capital, with participation from former Nokia chair Risto Siilasmaa and existing backers Lifeline Ventures. The funding will support Inven's expansion into the US market and increase its workforce, particularly in engineering, product, and go-to-market teams, according to Sifted.
Founded in 2022, Inven's platform leverages AI to analyze data from over 21 million companies, helping private equity firms, investment banks, and consultants discover high-potential private companies. The platform addresses the challenges of insufficient data and manual processes in financial analysis by using AI tools such as natural language search and predictive signals.
With a current client base of over 700 firms across Europe and the US, Inven plans to double its team size this year. The company aims to become the default platform for sourcing private market deals globally, as it continues to enhance its AI capabilities and expand its database.
