Intersignal Prepares Braid Light Client for Open Source Release
Intersignal announced in a press release the planned open source release of Braid Light Client v1.4.4, a reference implementation of its Braid State Transport Primitive. The company said Braid is not a language model and does not transfer model weights or unstructured chat history.
Braid packages a compact 384 dimensional latent state representation into a signed canonical frame. The frame can move across files, local APIs, or optical channels, then be checked by the receiving node.
The developer package is planned to include a Python command line client, a local server bound to loopback, signed .brad state frames, persistent Ed25519 keys, RFC 8785 canonical manifests, SHA-256 payload binding, policy intersection controlled by the receiver, and validation gates for signatures, FP16 representation, unit norm, and anomaly analysis.
The browser studio adds state visualization and a camera receiver that uses the native BarcodeDetector API with a local OpenCV fallback. The BRAD1 optical layer converts a signed frame into ISO/IEC 18004 QR symbols so one device can display machine state as light while another captures, reassembles, inspects, and evaluates it without an external cloud service.
Intersignal said automated verification completed 27 of 27 tests and a full image channel smoke test. Version 1.4.4 performs Phase A prevalidation without locking. The company said production deployments must add persistent replay ledger commitment and replace the included demonstration anomaly artifacts with trained artifacts for each route. It also plans a live optical transport demonstration in Cascais, Portugal, in September 2026.
