The International Data Center Authority (IDCA) has introduced version 2.0 of its Infinity Paradigm AE360 Standards Framework, designed to address the infrastructure and operational needs of AI-driven data centers.

The International Data Center Authority (IDCA) has released version 2.0 of its Infinity Paradigm AE360 Standards Framework, announced in a press release. The updated framework is designed to address the growing requirements of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing within modern data centers.

The AE360 2.0 framework provides a comprehensive approach to assessing infrastructure and operational risk across data centers, cloud environments, and computing systems. It aims to standardize best practices for design, development, and management in an era where data centers are increasingly transitioning into AI-focused facilities.

According to IDCA, global data center capacity currently totals 67 gigawatts, with 43 percent located in the United States. The organization projects that between 2030 and 2035, worldwide capacity could expand to as much as 300 gigawatts as AI workloads drive higher power consumption and complexity.

IDCA notes that data centers have become essential infrastructure for the digital economy, with $580 billion invested in 2025—surpassing the oil and gas sector by $40 billion. The AE360 2.0 framework is intended to help organizations align with this rapid growth by implementing standardized principles for reliability and performance in AI-driven operations.
