IBM and Nvidia Collaborate to Enhance AI Data Platform
IBM has announced a collaboration with Nvidia to integrate new AI data platform technologies, as stated in a press release. This partnership aims to enhance AI workloads and applications by leveraging Nvidia's AI Data Platform reference design.
IBM plans to introduce content-aware storage capabilities within its hybrid cloud infrastructure, IBM Fusion, to better manage unstructured data. This will enable enterprises to extract and utilize data more effectively for AI applications such as retrieval-augmented generation and AI reasoning. The integration will also involve IBM's watsonx offerings with Nvidia's NIM, facilitating access to leading AI models across various cloud environments.
Additionally, IBM Cloud will expand its Nvidia accelerated computing portfolio by offering Nvidia H200 instances, designed to support modern AI workloads and larger foundation models. IBM Consulting will also introduce AI Integration Services to help clients transform business processes using agentic AI and Nvidia Blueprints.
This collaboration underscores IBM's commitment to providing hybrid AI solutions that support data management, performance, security, and governance, ultimately helping enterprises overcome AI's technical challenges.
