Harvey Integrates LexisNexis Content for Enhanced Legal AI Platform
Harvey has entered into a strategic partnership with LexisNexis, integrating LexisNexis' generative AI technology and legal content into its platform. This collaboration will enable Harvey users to access AI-generated answers grounded in U.S. case law and statutes, validated through Shepard's Citations, as announced in a press release.
The integration, set to launch later this year, allows Harvey users to ask complex legal questions in natural language and receive citation-supported answers from primary sources of law. This is facilitated by LexisNexis' fine-tuned models and proprietary infrastructure, which anchor responses in legal content and metadata.
Additionally, the partnership will see the development of advanced legal workflows, such as those for motions to dismiss and summary judgment, leveraging LexisNexis' legal research content. These workflows aim to streamline legal processes and enhance efficiency for Harvey's users.
Harvey's CEO, Winston Weinberg, emphasized the value of this alliance, noting that it provides customers with reliable, citation-backed answers and custom workflows, making legal work faster and easier. The partnership reflects Harvey's strategy to combine building and partnering to meet customer expectations in the rapidly evolving legal tech industry.
