Google Cloud has announced new AI products and initiatives for the United Kingdom at the "Gemini for the United Kingdom" event held in London, announced in a press release. The event featured Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian and Google DeepMind CEO Sir Demis Hassabis, who outlined plans to enhance AI capabilities and support for UK organizations.

Key announcements include the launch of Chirp 3, an audio generation model, on Vertex AI. Chirp 3 will be available in 31 languages and offers 248 distinct voices, enhancing applications such as voice annotation and real-time transcription. Additionally, Google Cloud is expanding its UK data residency options to include Google Agentspace, allowing enterprises to host AI agents locally.

Google Cloud also revealed expanded AI skilling initiatives, offering free training and certification programs for developers, students, and professionals in the UK. This effort aims to bridge the skills gap and prepare the workforce for future AI advancements.

Furthermore, Google Cloud's Startup Program will provide up to £280,000 in cloud credits for AI startups in the UK, along with technical resources and training to support their growth. These initiatives underscore Google Cloud's commitment to fostering AI innovation and development in the UK.
