Genprex and Roche Diagnostics to Validate TROP2 Biomarker Assays for Lung Cancer Trials

Genprex has announced a collaboration with Roche Diagnostics to validate TROP2 biomarker assays for patient selection in non small cell lung cancer clinical trials.

Genprex announced in a press release a collaboration with Roche Diagnostics to validate biomarker assays for selecting patients in clinical trials for non small cell lung cancer.

The work will focus on TROP2 as a biomarker. Genprex said earlier preclinical research found that high TROP2 H scores and low PTEN H scores predicted response, and clinical data linked TROP2 H scores above 100 and PTEN H scores below 100 with longer progression free survival.

Roche Diagnostics will perform assay validation using its TROP2 antibody. The company has FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for an AI driven TROP2 companion diagnostic for non small cell lung cancer.

Genprex expects the validation studies to be completed around the end of 2026. It plans to add the validated approach to its lung cancer clinical program after the studies, depending on the results.
