FORT Robotics Joins NVIDIA Halos for Robotics to Expand Physical AI Safety

June 23, 2026
FORT Robotics has joined the NVIDIA Halos for Robotics ecosystem, introducing its Outside-In Safety solution that extends robot perception using external sensors and AI agents to improve safety and productivity in industrial environments.

FORT Robotics has joined the NVIDIA Halos for Robotics ecosystem, announced in a press release. The company will demonstrate an agentic safety application built with the open source NVIDIA Halos Outside-In Safety Blueprint at the Automate conference in Chicago.

The Outside-In Safety Blueprint extends robot perception beyond onboard sensors by using external infrastructure sensors and visual AI agents. Combined with the FORT Trust Layer, it enables real time, safety certifiable functionality for robots operating near workers. The system uses NVIDIA IGX Thor and NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge for AI compute and sensor connectivity.

FORT states that this approach helps reduce robot slowdowns and maintain safety in dynamic industrial environments such as warehouses and factories. It allows robots to adapt to changing conditions while maintaining high operational efficiency. The system also supports proactive accident prevention by providing broader situational awareness.

FORT is also part of the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab, accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board for physical AI and autonomous systems. This collaboration builds on FORT's existing safety control technologies and expands its Trust Layer to include external safety infrastructure.
