Firebird, in collaboration with the Government of Armenia and NVIDIA, has announced plans to build a next-generation AI cloud infrastructure. This initiative, unveiled at NVIDIA GTC Paris during VivaTech 2025, aims to accelerate technological innovation and position the Caucasus region as a leading AI hub, announced in a press release.

The project involves a $500 million public-private partnership, with Firebird planning to deploy thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs by 2026. The infrastructure is designed to scale up to over 100 megawatts of capacity, supporting the development and growth of AI technologies in Armenia. This collaboration is expected to enhance the local technology ecosystem by integrating high-performance infrastructure, talent, and innovation.

Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, expressed support for the initiative, highlighting its potential to strengthen the country's tech sector and global partnerships. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized the importance of AI factories as foundational infrastructure for the 21st century, noting that this collaboration will unlock new opportunities for innovation and economic growth across the region.

The initiative also involves contributions from Team Group, the parent company of Telecom Armenia, and the Afeyan Foundation for Armenia, which will act as a founding investor. This project marks a significant milestone in Armenia's journey towards becoming a leader in next-generation technology, fostering deeper ties with Europe's leading tech sectors.
