Envision Energy Commissions Galaxy Campus AI Data Center in Inner Mongolia
Envision Energy has commissioned the Galaxy Campus in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, an AI infrastructure campus powered by renewable energy and designed to scale beyond 2GW, the company announced in a press release. The site includes a 120,000 square meter AI supercomputing facility that Envision describes as the world's largest single AI data center building.
At full build out, the facility is designed to deliver one million PFLOPS of AI compute and support up to one million AI accelerators. The campus uses directly connected renewable electricity, dedicated transmission infrastructure, energy storage, and Envision's AI Power System.
Ulanqab is a major digital infrastructure hub with access to wind and solar resources. Galaxy Campus is the first flagship project under Mission Gobi, an initiative announced in June 2026 to build 5GW of green AI computing capacity in desert and arid regions by 2030.
