Doosan Robotics Wins CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award for AI Solution

November 13, 2025
Doosan Robotics has received the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in the Artificial Intelligence category and an Honoree title in Robotics for its Scan & Go Autonomous Robotic Solution, developed with Maple Advanced Robotics.

Doosan Robotics has been named a CES Innovation Awards Best of Innovation honoree in the Artificial Intelligence category and an Honoree in the Robotics category for its Scan & Go Autonomous Robotic Solution, announced in a press release. The awards are presented by the Consumer Technology Association ahead of CES 2026, which takes place January 6–9 in Las Vegas.

The Scan & Go system, developed with Canada-based Maple Advanced Robotics Inc. (MARI), is an AI-powered autonomous robotic solution designed for large-scale manufacturing and composite repair. It uses physics-based intelligence and 3D perception to interpret complex geometries in real time and generate optimized tool paths directly from point-cloud data, removing the need for CAD modeling or code programming.

Mounted on a self-driving forklift, the robot autonomously navigates and performs sanding, grinding, and inspection tasks on large structures such as aircraft fuselages and wind turbine blades. The solution includes torque-sensing collision detection, fence-free operation, and meets the highest safety level (PL e, Cat 4). It has already been adopted by wind energy manufacturers to improve quality and safety.

Doosan Robotics stated that the Scan & Go marks the start of its broader AI robotics strategy. The company plans to introduce additional AI robotic solutions for industrial applications in the coming year.
