Diffblue Secures £1 Million Grant for AI Software Engineering

Diffblue has received a £1 million grant from Innovate UK to enhance its AI-driven software engineering solutions, focusing on autonomous test code generation.

Diffblue has received a £1 million grant from Innovate UK as part of the ITEA GENIUS project, announced in a press release. This funding aims to accelerate the development of Diffblue's reinforcement learning-powered solutions for autonomous test code generation.

The GENIUS project is an international initiative that seeks to bridge the gap between manual-intensive processes and the potential of generative AI. Diffblue, in collaboration with partners like King's College London and British Telecom, will focus on developing AI algorithms to automate complex software engineering tasks, improve software quality, and speed up development cycles.

Diffblue's approach combines reinforcement learning with code execution, enhancing accuracy and eliminating errors. Their flagship product, Diffblue Cover, autonomously generates high-quality unit tests, ensuring they compile and pass while delivering extensive coverage and test strength.
