DEWALT Drilling Robot Wins Fast Company Tech Award

DEWALT's DALE concrete drilling robot won a 2026 Fast Company Next Big Things in Tech Award after drilling more than 385,000 holes during pilot projects.

DEWALT says its DALE concrete drilling robot won a 2026 Fast Company Next Big Things in Tech Award, according to a company press release. The robot, developed with August Robotics, received recognition in the Enduring Impact category.

During pilot projects, DALE drilled more than 385,000 holes with accuracy above 99%. It operated at up to 10 times the speed of conventional methods and reduced project schedules by more than 300 weeks across 44 phases of data center construction.

DALE supports fleets of autonomous robots for drilling holes used in server rack stops and mechanical, electrical and plumbing supports. Its features include remote monitoring, automatic dust extraction, replaceable batteries and AI based quality checks.
