Cursor Raises $2.3 Billion, Valued at $29.3 Billion
Cursor, an AI-powered coding startup, has raised $2.3 billion at a $29.3 billion valuation, according to Bloomberg. The funding round was co-led by Accel and Coatue, with participation from existing investors including Thrive Capital and DST Global.
New investors Google and Nvidia also joined the round. Google provides AI and cloud services to Cursor, while Nvidia is an enterprise customer. The company, founded in 2023 by four MIT graduates, has now surpassed $1 billion in annualized revenue.
Cursor’s platform integrates with multiple large language models, including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. It recently introduced an updated version of its AI assistant designed to handle more complex software development tasks from start to finish.
