Coupa Acquires Rossum to Expand AI Document Processing Across Spend Management Platform

May 12, 2026
Coupa has acquired Rossum, an AI-first intelligent document processing company, to extend document automation and autonomous capabilities across its spend management platform.

Coupa Software has acquired Rossum, an AI-first company specializing in intelligent document processing, announced in a press release. The acquisition builds on an existing partnership focused on automating invoicing for Accounts Payable teams and will extend Rossum's document processing technology across Coupa's entire spend management portfolio.

Rossum's system is powered by a proprietary transactional large language model trained on millions of documents. It offers faster processing, cost savings, and improved data control for complex invoicing tasks. Coupa plans to integrate these capabilities with its Navi agentic AI system to enable autonomous management across the full source to pay process.

Coupa CEO Leagh Turner said the two companies have worked together since 2024 and that combining their technologies will enhance the platform's decision and intelligence systems. Rossum CEO Tomáš Gogár stated that merging with Coupa aligns with their AI-first approach and will accelerate customer value creation. Details about the integration will be shared at Coupa's Inspire event and in an upcoming webinar on June 9.
