Pactum launches Intake Agent for purchase requests, says it cuts cycle time by 90%

Pactum's new AI agent converts purchase requests written in plain language into completed requisitions and checks them against company policies.

Pactum announced in a press release the launch of Intake Agent, an AI tool that converts purchase requests written in plain language into completed requisitions. The agent is available in Microsoft Teams, Coupa, and SAP Ariba.

Employees can describe requested goods or services and attach documents such as supplier quotes. The agent identifies the procurement category, adds accounting and supplier details, asks for missing information, and checks the request against company purchasing policies before submission.

Intake Agent can pass approved requests to other Pactum agents for sourcing and supplier negotiations. Human buyers handle requests that require judgment. Pactum says its separate Requisition Alignment Agent has completed more than one million checks against purchasing policies, contracts, and approved suppliers.
