commercetools has launched the Commerce MCP and AI Hub, enabling enterprises to integrate AI into existing systems without replatforming, announced in a press release. These innovations were unveiled at Elevate – The Global Commerce Summit, aiming to make enterprise commerce systems agent-ready.

The Commerce MCP allows enterprises to transform their commerce environments into agent-ready ecosystems by making backend services accessible to AI agents. It supports integration with leading agent development frameworks, including OpenAI's Agent SDK and Vercel's AI SDK. This enables dynamic and composable agent execution, aligning with modern commerce infrastructure.

The AI Hub facilitates AI-powered commerce across any channel with plug-and-play integrations to leading AI platforms. This allows for rapid deployment of agent-driven experiences, enhancing customer interactions without the need for re-architecting existing systems. Both the Commerce MCP and AI Hub are currently in early access, with broader availability expected in the second half of 2025.
