Coles and Ever.Ag Partner to Modernize Meat Supply Chain Planning
Coles Supermarkets has partnered with Ever.Ag to modernize its fresh meat supply chain using data science and optimization modeling, announced in a press release. The collaboration applies Ever.Ag's S&OP platform to automate data ingestion and modeling across Coles' operations, generating optimized production and deployment plans with predictive insights and compliance controls.
According to Coles, the system has reduced planning time from hours to minutes, improved consistency across beef, lamb, and pork operations, and enhanced responsiveness to customer demand. It also embeds institutional knowledge into digital processes to reduce operational risk and improve planning accuracy for freshness and pricing.
Coles and Ever.Ag plan to advance the system from volume-based to value-based optimization in future phases. This will include factors such as profitability, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes, allowing scenario simulations and better balance between efficiency and environmental impact.
