CodeBuddy Secures $872k to Expand AI Software Development Platform

CodeBuddy has secured $872,500 in seed funding to enhance its AI-powered software development platform, which is designed to assist nontraditional developers in creating software from concept to cloud. The funding round was led by Invest Nebraska, with participation from Cultivation Capital, Nebraska Angels, and South Dakota First Capital.

Founded in 2021, CodeBuddy combines AI tools with expert mentorship to simplify the software creation process, particularly for users without formal computer science backgrounds. The platform supports the entire software development cycle, from installation and task planning to cloud management and architecture design.

The new funding will enable CodeBuddy to expand beyond its current reach in six states—Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota, and Oklahoma—and to increase its team across development, sales, and marketing. Additionally, the funds will support community-building initiatives under the company's "DEV different" program, which includes podcasts, thought leadership content, and product coaching initiatives.

With this latest funding, CodeBuddy has raised over $1.5 million in total since its inception, as it continues to focus on making software development more accessible and supportive for technically promising individuals.
