Cloudflare Integrates OpenAI Frontier Models into Agent Cloud
Cloudflare has expanded its Agent Cloud platform to integrate OpenAI’s frontier models, including GPT‑5.4, announced on OpenAI’s website. The integration allows millions of enterprises to deploy AI agents directly within Cloudflare’s infrastructure to handle real business tasks such as customer responses, report generation, and system updates.
Agent Cloud operates on Cloudflare Workers AI, enabling AI models to run at the network edge for faster, globally distributed performance. Developers can now use OpenAI’s Codex models through the Codex harness, which is generally available in Cloudflare Sandboxes and will soon be accessible via Workers AI.
According to Cloudflare CTO Dane Knecht, the goal is to bring OpenAI’s intelligence closer to end users, allowing enterprises to build and scale AI-driven applications more efficiently. OpenAI’s Rohan Varma noted that the collaboration simplifies the deployment of production‑ready agents powered by GPT‑5.4 and Codex for enterprise workloads.
The expansion extends OpenAI’s reach across Cloudflare’s customer base, which includes companies such as Accenture, Walmart, Intuit, and Morgan Stanley, and supports over one million business users globally.
