CleanArc Expands Virginia Hyperscale Campus to Nearly 1GW Capacity

CleanArc Data Centers has acquired 87.5 acres of land to expand its Virginia hyperscale campus by 300MW, increasing total planned capacity to nearly 1GW, with phased power delivery through 2035.

CleanArc Data Centers has acquired 87.5 acres of additional land to expand its flagship hyperscale data center campus in Virginia, announced in a press release. The expansion increases the site's planned capacity by 300 megawatts, bringing the total to nearly 1 gigawatt.

The company initially planned a 600MW campus. With this new acquisition, CleanArc expects to deliver its first 300MW of capacity in the first quarter of 2027, followed by another 300MW around 2030. The newly added land allows for a third 300MW tranche projected for 2033–2035.

Groundbreaking for the VA1 project is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. CleanArc stated that the additional capacity will enhance redundancy and scalability to meet future demand from hyperscale customers.
