Channel Robotics Raises $4.6 Million to Advance Handheld Endoscopic Robot
Channel Robotics has raised $4.6 million in total funding, including a $2.5 million Seed+ round led by True Ventures, announced in a press release. The financing will support the development and regulatory progress of the company’s handheld AI enabled endoscopic robotic platform.
The platform is designed to deliver robotic level dexterity through existing flexible endoscopes, reducing the need for large robotic systems. Channel Robotics aims to make advanced endoscopic procedures more accessible across hospitals and clinics.
The new funding follows a $2.1 million Seed round that included Defined VC and Old Line Capital Partners. The company plans to refine its prototype, expand engineering efforts, and prepare for an FDA submission targeted for 2027. The funds will also support manufacturing systems and commercialization planning once regulatory clearance is achieved.
Founded by Dr. Philip Weissbrod and Dr. Michael Yip, the San Diego based company focuses on creating scalable robotic tools that integrate into existing clinical workflows.
