Centersquare has announced the acquisition of ten data centers across the United States and Canada, valued at $1 billion. This expansion increases the company's portfolio to 80 facilities, aimed at supporting the rising demand for AI-driven infrastructure.

The newly acquired data centers are located in strategic markets including Boston, Minneapolis, Dallas, Tulsa, Nashville, Raleigh, Toronto, and Montreal. Two of these sites, in Boston and Minneapolis, were previously under long-term lease agreements with Centersquare.

The acquisition is self-funded, utilizing Centersquare's existing cash reserves rather than external financing. This approach highlights the company's robust financial position and its commitment to expanding its capabilities to handle high-density computing workloads required by AI applications.

Centersquare, formed through the merger of Evoque Data Center Solutions and Cyxtera Technologies, serves a diverse range of sectors including technology, healthcare, media, and financial services. The company is focused on providing reliable power, connectivity, and engineered environments to meet the needs of its customers, ranging from individual enterprises to hyperscale cloud providers.
