Cedar Launches Cedar Cover to Help Hospitals Manage Medicaid and Uninsured Patients
Cedar AI has launched Cedar Cover, an integrated digital solution aimed at helping healthcare providers manage coverage and financial aid for uninsured and underinsured patients, announced in a press release.
The platform assists hospitals in identifying and enrolling eligible patients in Medicaid, guiding them through renewals, resolving claim denials, and connecting them to medication assistance programs. Cedar Cover is designed to embed these functions directly into hospital billing workflows, allowing patients to access critical resources within a single digital experience.
Cedar Cover includes four main capabilities: Medicaid Enrollment, Proactive Renewal Workflows, Denials Resolution, and Medication Assistance. The system partners with Fortuna Health and TailorMed to identify patients eligible for aid and streamline their access to available programs.
According to Cedar, early adopters such as Novant Health, Baystate Health, ApolloMD, and The Iowa Clinic have reported measurable results, including a 30% increase in insurance reimbursement from overturned denials and a 97% Medicaid application approval rate. The platform was unveiled at the HLTH 2025 conference in Las Vegas.
