Bermuda Showcases Insurtech Growth and AI Regulation Leadership at ITC Vegas 2025
Bermuda emphasized its growing insurtech sector and AI regulatory leadership at ITC Vegas 2025, announced in a press release. The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) led a delegation of public and private sector representatives, including the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), to the world’s largest insurance technology conference.
The BDA hosted discussions with investors and international partners while also sponsoring the event. Tiffany Austin of the BMA joined a panel on usage-based insurance and scalable telematics data, where regulators from several jurisdictions discussed AI frameworks and sandbox innovation programs. She outlined how Bermuda’s regulatory sandbox supports responsible experimentation and growth in emerging technologies.
Private sector participation included Bermuda-based companies such as Meanwhile, which announced an $82 million capital raise during the conference. CatX and Cactus, recently merged, also attended to highlight their partnership and explore collaboration opportunities in the global risk-transfer technology market.
Following ITC Vegas, Bermuda’s delegation plans to continue industry engagement at the upcoming PWC Reinsurance Conference in November.
