Base Operations Secures AI Contract with U.S. Air Force

Base Operations has been awarded a Direct-to-Phase II contract by the United States Air Force to deliver AI-driven security intelligence solutions. Announced in a press release, the contract aims to identify, assess, predict, and counter emerging threats, including Small Unarmed Aerial Systems incursions, in dynamic environments with limited intelligence.
The initiative is part of the Air Force's collaboration with AFWERX and the Air Force Research Laboratory to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) processes. This partnership seeks to accelerate the proposal-to-award timeline and expand opportunities for small businesses by reducing bureaucratic overhead.
Base Operations' platform will enhance force protection by providing AI-powered threat intelligence, which anticipates and mitigates risks around critical installations. This effort is designed to safeguard personnel and counter adversarial foreign espionage, thereby strengthening operational resilience and ensuring mission success in complex environments.
