Augment Code has introduced Cosmos, described as an operating system for managing agents across the software development lifecycle, according to the company website.

Cosmos is designed to connect humans, agents, code, tools, policies, and shared memory at the organizational level. It operates through the command line, web, and mobile interfaces, maintaining consistent workflows for building, testing, reviewing, and deploying software.

The company states that while individual developers have seen productivity gains from coding agents, those benefits have not scaled across teams. Cosmos aims to solve this by coordinating agent activity and knowledge sharing across entire engineering organizations.
