The Browser Company will shut down Arc on December 22, 2026, and direct users to Dia, according to TechCrunch. The company said its engineering and security teams will focus on Dia, its AI browser. The Browser Company was acquired by Atlassian for $610 million in 2025.

New Arc accounts can no longer be created. On November 23, Arc Search on iOS and Android will lose AI features including Browse for Me, while sign in and tab syncing will stop. The mobile app will continue to work as a local browser.

Arc will stop working on Mac and Windows on December 22. Accounts will be deactivated, personal data will be deleted within 30 days, and Arc Search will be removed from the Google Play Store. Users can transfer passwords, bookmarks, extensions, and browsing history to Dia, which also includes versions of Arc features such as Spaces, vertical tabs, and folders.
