Anthropic Renames $200 Claude Max 20x Plan Ultra and Drops Five Hour Limit

Oct 31, 2026
Anthropic renamed its $200 Claude Max 20x plan Ultra; verified accounts no longer have a five hour usage limit.

Anthropic renames its Claude Max 20x subscription as Ultra, according to an updated support page. Existing Max 20x subscribers will move to Ultra automatically with no change to the $200 monthly price.

Ultra provides 10 times the weekly usage of the Pro plan. Verified accounts no longer have a five hour usage limit, while unverified accounts face a temporary limit. Anthropic says it verifies Ultra accounts automatically using factors such as account and payment history, and that verifying a phone number at checkout does not remove the limit.

The plan has a weekly limit across all models and a separate weekly limit for Fable. Anthropic may also apply other weekly, monthly, model, or feature limits to manage capacity.

Earlier this week OpenAI doubled usage limits for its ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium plans.
