Anthropic filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its Class A common stock, the company announced. It plans to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol "ANT".

The number of shares and the price range have not been set. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are handling requests for the preliminary prospectus. The registration statement is not yet effective, so no shares can be sold until it is.

The public filing follows a confidential draft reported earlier this month, which showed first-half revenue of $16.3 billion and a net loss of more than $80 billion.
