American Heart Association Report Finds Ultromics EchoGo May Detect HFpEF Earlier

An independent American Heart Association AI Impact Report found that Ultromics' EchoGo Heart Failure system could identify heart failure with preserved ejection fraction up to nine months earlier than standard care.

The American Heart Association has released an AI Impact Report assessing Ultromics' EchoGo Heart Failure system. The findings, announced in a press release, show that the AI tool could detect heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) about 263 days earlier than standard diagnostic methods.

The analysis used retrospective real world data from Dandelion Health and was conducted through the American Heart Association's AI Assessment Lab. This evaluation estimated that earlier detection could lead to nearly 500 additional lives saved for every 10,000 patients under the modeled assumptions.

The report also projected potential financial benefits for health systems, estimating up to about 1.9 million dollars in additional revenue over five years. The assessment aimed to quantify both the clinical and economic value of cardiovascular AI tools like EchoGo Heart Failure in routine care.
