The American Arbitration Association has named Jennifer Reeves as vice president, legal AI governance and integration lead. Reeves will oversee AI governance across the organization’s products, systems, and internal tools.

The American Arbitration Association-International Centre for Dispute Resolution has appointed Jennifer Reeves as its first vice president, legal AI governance and integration lead, announced in a press release. Reeves will oversee the organization’s AI governance strategy across products, systems, and internal tools.

In this newly created role, Reeves will chair the AAA’s AI governance committee and lead enterprise governance activities. Her responsibilities include advancing the association’s AI risk registry and ensuring alignment with frameworks such as those from NIST and the EU AI Act. She will also manage reviews of internal and third party AI tools used in case management and client solutions.

Reeves previously served as lead innovation counsel at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, where she directed generative AI and innovation initiatives. Her background includes roles in legal innovation, compliance, and regulation at firms and organizations such as Crowell & Moring, Morgan Lewis, Meta, and the Texas House of Representatives.

The appointment follows the release of the AAA’s AI governance survey, which found that many organizations have AI governance policies that are not yet effective in practice. Reeves’ role is intended to strengthen the AAA’s operational governance and ensure responsible use of AI across its dispute resolution systems.
