Akto has launched the Agentic API Security Experts, a groundbreaking solution that employs autonomous AI agents to provide continuous API security, announced in a press release. This innovative suite is designed to assist modern application security (appsec) teams in managing the increasing number of APIs and evolving threats.

The Agentic API Security Experts function as a virtual team of application security engineers, capable of discovering hidden APIs, detecting vulnerabilities, testing critical endpoints, and proactively addressing issues before they escalate. The AI-driven agents work autonomously, focusing on tasks such as inventorying APIs, testing for vulnerabilities, and monitoring runtime traffic for anomalies.

At launch, the suite includes AI agents for maintaining a live inventory of API endpoints, reviewing code commits for security issues, scanning for misconfigurations, and blocking malicious traffic in real-time. Akto plans to expand these capabilities and integrate them more deeply with existing development workflows over the coming months.
