AIxMed and Lumea Partner to Enhance Bladder Cancer Diagnostics
AIxMed and Lumea have announced a partnership to integrate AIxMed's AI technology into Lumea's digital pathology platform, enhancing bladder cancer diagnostics. In a press release, the companies detailed how AIxMed's AIxURO solution will be incorporated into Lumea's FDA-cleared platform, aiming to improve diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency in bladder cancer assessment.
AIxURO is designed to assist in analyzing non-invasive urine cytology specimens, accurately identifying suspicious and atypical cells using The Paris System for Reporting Urinary Cytology. This integration is expected to support clinical decision-making, potentially reducing the need for invasive procedures like cystoscopies and enhancing patient compliance.
Lumea's platform, widely used in the U.S. urology market, will now offer this advanced AI-driven urine cytology solution, further diversifying its offerings for urologists and strengthening its support for comprehensive cancer diagnostic workflows.
